Same deer or genes?

I've been following this first buck for the last two years. He had some velvet damage last year and when I pulled the card for the first time this summer, this deer shows up. I can't tell if it's the same deer from previous and he has lost his kickers on his g2's or what. His brows look very similar. What do you guys think? Thanks!

The frame and that blackish patch on his nose are pretty similar. I'd say same deer.

The nose markings give it away, this guy must be 6 or 7?, hasn't changed all that much

I thought he is a 5 1/2 this year but I may be off. The first pic (08) He seemed to be a healthy 3 1/2 based on all of the pics I have of him. Last year he had some damage in velvet and bent his right main beam. He looks like he has gone down hill a little this year, so he may be a little older that I thought. This is him from 09'. What do you think?

I want to say it's the same buck...just seems werid that he lost those kickers. Almost looks TOO CLEAN to be the same deer. If not the same deer....same genes
