I shot this "Management" buck on Saturday of 1st season shotgun. There was a group of about 20-30 deer grouped up between two ravines on a ridgetop. I stalked up to the group and sat down next to a tree and waited for them to move in either direction. My brother was on the other side of the group and accidentally bumped them my way. The first three that came by were little bucks then this guy. I made a split decision to take him at ten yards. I put a nice heart shot on him and he was down within 20 yards. He seems to be a mature buck in the 4.5 year old range with 15 to 16 points, split g1, g2, and g3 on the right side, and split g2 with a couple kickers on the left side, but just doesn't have the tine length. He was 19 inches wide. He had a larger than average body for the bucks up here and added plenty of meat to the freezer. Good luck everyone during the second season!
