Scrapes

Noticed scrapes are fresh in area and new rubs. What time do you think they are hitting them? Is this the bucks marking territory for the remainder of the does? I was in timber moving stand around 11:00 when noticed.

Whenever they walk by. When the mature bucks are not with a doe right now they are looking for one, rubbing & scraping as they go. Yearlings are doing nothing but wandering around rubbing & scraping and wondering what the H*** is going on.

had a nice 8 next to my tree this past sunday he went to a scrape and pawed it some licked the branch and moved on he got out about 75yrds and i hit the horns he turned right around and came back to the scrape and smelled it then milled around for awhile testing the ground for scent this was about 8 am so hard to tell when they check, stay on stand all day this time of year, take a piss bottle and a sandwich and don't fall asleep.:way::way:
