The annual 2nd season turkey hunt that my 3 buddies and I go on each year is now over. 3 big birds down. I got mine right after fly-down at 6:37am on Friday: 24 pounds, 11 inch beard, 1 inch spurs. My buddy TJ shot a nice 23 pounder with 2 beards later that morning. One 9 inches and the other 4, with 7/8 in spurs. My other buddy, Eric shot a nice 22 pound 4 year old with inch and a quarter spurs and a thick, 10 inch beard on Sat. morning....after all three of us called all morning while laying on a terrace for 4 hours!! My other friend had a dissapointing miss and ended up not tagging a bird. Over all, an awesome season!
