Shed hunting dogs

got myself a 6 week old AKC Choc Lab on saturday. Probably spend the whole winter training him. It isn't easy, he will be my second.
 
i have a year and half old lab have had them all my life makes great shed dogs she picked up over 100 last year and cant wait teel this year

Not to be a smartass, but it is not really difficult to train a dog to find a bone ! I have trained a few of them using various methods that I came up with and have had great results. Consistency is the key to training. I will be having another litter available in April if all goes well next month, so if you are interested at that time, send me a message. I feel it is wise to get your pup either before or after shed season that way you don't get sidetracked while training your new pup. Also, at the end of shed season, you have lots (hopefully) of fresh bone to use in your training.
