The archery season has ended here in mn

Last week I was bowhunting and it was cold I had my heavy coat on. 7 does came by and one came about 15 yds from me and I took the shot and the bow sting hit my jacket which caused my arrow to go low and I totally missed. This is the first year I had a shot at a late season deer and I was just wondering what everyone does so this will not happen. Thanks

Arm guard, tighter fitting jacket, lots of pre season practice with all your gear on!
Good Luck

Select your clothing to prevent this in the future and/or where an arm guard over that loose sleeve. I had a similar issue and used the arm guard. I have since bought new cold weather clothing that is less bulky.

Some guys use a tight fitting arm wrap over their outer coat, might be an idea for you in the future.

I use a long armguard, chest protector, and shorten my draw length 1/2" from my summer set up to give me more room against my clothes.

Replace your outer jacket with a down filled vest. Chances are you'll not lose much heat and you will also have that much more movement without the extra long sleeve. Slap an armguard on, cinch it down TIGHT, and you're in business!

I was too cheap to by an armgaurd ang cut of an old sock that was too big. worked like a charm

Was just going to suggest something like that I've use a old gun sock that was torn up it didn't last long though becuause the ends that I cut kept fraying.
