anyone own a smartscouter? i just ordered one at the QDMA show in chattanooga. cant wait to get it. wireless trail camera. Infrared, super fast shuttter speed and get pics over internet. no more spooking my deer checking film. but want others opinion on how they like theirs...

At 6 bills per camera and then you need a per pic plan, seems a little pricey to me! Gas is expensive, but......

What's the battery life on them things?

Wow, that could get to be very spendy.

Don't own one but saw one in action last year on one of the outfitters near our IL ground. Pretty sweet setup, pictures were good, trigger speed they had a bit of a problem with but I guess that is something that alot of the commercial cams have. The ability to stay out of the woods was a big plus. I would love to have one but the Research Assitantship only covers the hunting necessities

, someday when I decide to get a real job I may make that purchase as I thought they were really nice.

I own a smart scouter unit. It's AWESOME. I'm emailed the photos to my cell phone and while i'm at work or home i see bucks hitting my food plot. It's saving me time, plus i don't have to spook up my area.

I bought it on website www.smartscouter.com

Checked out this camera and it sounds like a good idea. However if you don't have a HUGE pocket book FULL of money you will have to pull out a loan to pay for it. I get around 300 to 600 pictures a week where I put cameras out at. 5 to 10 cents a picture adds up really fast along with a 25 dollar month bill for the cell phone service. The camera is over 600 dollars also. Great Idea and I would love to have one just can't afford it.

In May I had 361 photos...my charge was $29.43..
In June i put on feeder and got 1,212 photos which cost me $49.23... All in all i cost me less than a tank of gas which i would have spent to change the cf card....

I don't have one yet, but I've looked them over and am intrigued by the concept. I will buy one when the funds become available.

I can see it being more affordable with those numbers than the numbers that they gave on the site. I really would love to get a camera like that and I wouldn't get much done around the house if I had one. I would be looking for the pictures every half hour or so. I think you can build a camera like that also and you just use a provider in your area that has a picture package like the one above.

The picture is pretty cool and thanks for posting.
