Some of you may already save your spurs as a reminder of many great hunts. For those that would like to try this, here is what I do for the spur necklace.
Put the leg in a shop vise. With a fine tooth hack saw blade, cut the spur off the leg on each side at 90 degress to the leg. With a small pocket knife remove all the leg scales and leg tendons. The yellow bone marrow in the leg is easily cleaned out with a Q-tip. Rinse with cold water and string them on a leather boot lace.
