Sunflower plots?

I tried them this year in a new plot. I just broadcast them after spraying. I didn't get a lot to come up, but it was awfully dry.
I purchased my seed from Osenbaugh Prairie Seed, but in talking to folks, they've had good luck just buying the bird seed with sunflower seed in it from big box store and using it.
