Survival Packet

The invention of the cell phone has made hunting somewhat safer for all of us when we venture a field. We are usually a phone call away from being rescued if something happens.

However I still carry a small survival packet with me on every outing. You know, waterproof matches, dry tender, space blanket, whistle, compass, and a few energy bars.

Do you carry a survival packet with you when you are in the woods?

I carry a first aid kit and a snake bite kit, but no survival kit. I always have a lighter in my pocket and granola bars and Mountain Dew in the backpack though.
