What a jump this deer has made over the past month! Heck even from the 25th of July to August 4th, is considerable! (but ALL the pictures aren't needed, just first contact to now) If he makes it through, he has the potential to be a stud, but with the girlfriend looking for her first deer ever, she will have the green light on him to be a fantastic first deer! And he's gotta make it through the 20+ shotgun hunters of the land owners group....but he's made it this far through the pumpkin patch! :drink1: I'm thinking he's 3....whats your guy's thinking on it? Could he MAYBE be 4?

Meet the Wide 9..July 11th was first contact....

August 4th...finally had a deciently cool day and he was on his feet at 10 am.

I'd say 3 also. Good luck with him either way... if he does make it another year would be dandy but first deer is more important. I've got several 3 yr olds that I am going to let my stepson take a wack at if given the opportunity

LOL, I agree! My girls first bowhunting encounter was on a mid 170's 11 point that I had been scouting and she froze! Always good to get a couple kills under their belts before they tackle a nice buck! That's awesome that you are trying to get her on a good deer! That would be a hell of a first buck! I hope she connects!
