As I watch it snow the first real snowfall of the season I can't help but think how another year has come and gone. Nothing has changed, but everything has changed, sometimes I wonder if for the better. My little ones are growing so big in such a short amount of time. Its almost scary how fast their growing. Thanksgiving has come and gone, as have the conversations. The whitetail rut is fading with the days, as has the month of November. As the calender changes we're staring at another deer gun season and the winter cold.
I never have minded the winter cold, the stillness and the silence of the winter time. I have always liked. Unlike most people my Deer season is just starting so we ll see how things go. Up to this point the deer have been all scattered out in the open, which I have a feeling is about to change with the snow and the cold.
Have a good gun season everyone. As always if you have the cover and the food you should be in the deer. Hopefully I can bag a good one, but if not I'll sit and watch and eventually fill the freezer. Only time will tell about such things.
