With October fast approaching I think it would be a great time to start a thread of members tips, tricks or advice. With all the years of experience on this board there's got to be plenty of ideas that could help us be more successful in the upcoming season. They don't have to be much - for example, I tie pieces of thread (actually yellow flytying Chenille) on branches around my stand so that I can constantly monitor wind direction. More than once I have abandoned a stand site because when I arrived the string indicated the wind was not right (despite the fact that the Wheather Channel said it should have been). It has also helped me make the decision to shoot before a buck crossed my scent stream.
