Took the kids squirrel hunting Monday

Couldn't get away until Monday morning but had a good time with my boys, Only saw a few squirrels, I saw alot of little footprints along the road by the parking area so It must have got hit pretty hard on the opener . We ended up getting a couple though. These boys have their M/Lders sighted in and are ready for deer season, So am I!!!!

Gabe and I shared some good times in the squirrel woods last weekend as well.

Gabe shot a solid black squirrel in extreme NE Iowa and was really happy.

Wish I knew a good taxidermist...

I think squirrel hunting is one of the best ways to teach a young person good hunting skills. There is usually a lot of opportunities for young people when squirrel hunting to keep there interest.

Congrats to your kids on their squirrels.
