Tree Stand Views

These are two of my Wisconsin sets.

First picture is out of a box stand over looking a 20 acre pine plantation and 20 acre marsh. Not to mention seeing whatever goes in front of our other box stand (Both a good and bad thing lol).

Second is a stand I hung new this year. Its my premier rut stand that sits on the edge of where a pine plantation and marsh meet. I also have a 1/4 acre Frigid Forage food plot that is smack dab in the middle. Can't wait to sit this stand during the first week of November!

Here is another view from that same stand. Love being right on top of the marsh so I can catch the "sneaky" bucks who think that can slip around me on a major trail that is about 20 yards into the cattails.

Here is one my favorite spots for cruising bucks. Wish the yellow jungle was picked.

Here is a look to the South. Nice spot really. I was using it as an observation stand last night hoping to get lucky.

My fiance is from West Union, GREAT area for Deer up there! :way:

Cooter, I have a similar stand location with a clearing like that, that then leads into a large Ag. field onto the neighbor. I really want to put a plot in there to hopefully make it a staging area before they hop the fence.

Only problem is, not very good access to that spot for a tiller.

The " honey hole". Buddy has bagged a great deer out of this stand for the last 5 years now. He is tagged out so he is letting me sit it. What a great friend. Just blew a encounter with the biggest buck would have taken so far. No that is not a pic of him. That was the first deer of the day.

Nice to watch the otters catch fish in the creek also.

In the corner of a picked beanfield. Been very slow so far this year. Very little rut activity if any for me. Typical.

Here are a couple of my locations.
First is a new set I just hung this year. Shot a doe the day I hung it. It sits on at the edge of a timber overlooking a big CRP field with cut corn bordering 2 sides and beans on the third. This first pic is looking to the NW

Second pic is looking W.

Not sure why I didn't take any pics to the south or SE. Awesome spot to watch everything move. There is another stand directly to the West in the bottom on a draw that deer like to use as cover when walking North to South.

This next spot go screwed up this year. It's a good sized timber that my brother owns. He had it logged this summer and the first time I went to hunt there I got quite the surprise on how much it changed...this used to be a good stand.

This used to be a great pathway the deer would use, but now it's so wide open I don't think they will be using it much. May have to give this location a couple of years to get the deer on new patterns.

This last spot is a stand in a nice wide draw. There is a big timber to the north and another timber to to the south. The bean field on the east is really secluded and deer feed through there without much worry.
Looking to the NE (bean field and timber edge)

Looking North up the draw.

Looking West to the other side of the draw

Looking south down the draw behind me. Open bag of banana chips for easy snacking :way:

As ugly as that draw is, a lot of deer mover through there surprisingly.

Opening day Nebraska rifle. Too bad the winds gusting at 40 mph...severe drop on temps overnight though. Should be good!

Bucks like to cruse along the creek. It is about the only funnel or barrier on this river bottom ground.
