Iowa Boy At Heart
A friend sent me this link and I wanted to share it with you all. I predicted that people outside Arizona would move on and start to forget. Sadly, I was mostly right. Its still very fresh to all wildland firefighters and everyone here in Arizona. This article is a bit long, but a GREAT read and needs to be shared. It brings back every emotion when I have to kiss my own family goodbye and it hits very close to home. I wiped away a few tears as I read this tonight. Jesse Steed was a friend I admired and respected greatly. The story describes exactly how I remember him. He was a good man. Please continue to pray for these men and their families. Keep perspective in your lives this weekend, no matter what football game you're watching.
