I have a Primos DVD at home with that hunt on it and I remember watching it on regular VHS many years ago, now that I think back I want to say it was really close. He was standing behind a giant glacial boulder and the bear walked by at 8 or 9 FEET.

6 or 7 yards is close enough as Fred Bear lists it in his journal as 20 feet.
I don't know about you guys but that's too close for me on the ground to an animal that could have you for a snack.
Congrats to sschlicher, yotetrapper, DarkArcher, and jclaws. You guys have bragging rights for figuring this one out!
