Turkey jerky

Here is a recipe that we have used for deer jerky (both strips and ground burger) that is simple and tasty. I used it over the winter on a catch of turkey (not ground) and it turned out very good. Do a search on here and you should find the old thread about different recipes and drying times.

10 lbs. meat
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp salt
6 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
6 tsp Accent
1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke

Mix this together and it will have a consistancy of wet sand. Layer your turkey and sprinkle evenly the best you can layer after layer. Refrigerate a day or two, mixing the meat 1-2 a day. Can't remember how long I dehydrated it for, but I do remember it being a lot less than deer/beef.
