Venison Chilli

Much like Dedgeez instead of using brown sugar I use a combination of honey and Cholula hot sauce. Gives it a sweet and hot one two punch. Very good.

Been using this recipe for decades.......

1.5 to 2 lbs. ground venison
3 cans chili beans
1 large onion, diced.
6 or 7 tomatoes, cooked down and finely chopped......we freeze our tomatoes when we pick them this way. Just thaw out and add to chili.
1 bell pepper, diced...optional
Chili powder to taste preference.
Salt and pepper.
Usually, no water is needed, but if it's too thick it doesn't hurt to add some.

Brown burger, onion and pepper at same time, add other ingredients and simmer for at least an hour. Keep testing for taste and add chili powder as needed. The longer chili cooks, the better it is. I usually cook mine all afternoon. :way: I'm making a batch right now.:D
