I got some pics of this guy with his tail on and then the next time I pulled the camera I noticed his tail was missing. Should be easy to keep track of him.
My daughter's youth season buck had tail that was a little over half there. It was definately an old injury. Coyotes when young? Who knows. Cool photo!
