There is a post on here right now addressing scent eliminators, and another one on wind direction. One of the thing that I think has been interesting to observe is to watch wood smoke from the stove of my neighbors, and ours included the past few years. There are times when the smoke rises and floats above everything...there are other days when it settles and creates a fog below the pipe and even to the ground. I have found when the smoke is settling...I have to be very careful about wind...in fact there are days when the smoke is on both sides of the house. The days the smoke is rising...I can be much riskier in my stand selections. It has been an interesting thing to observe because the chimney's are approximately the same heighth as my tree stands.
