Has anyone been out in this area this week? Wondering what the buck activity has been like? Went out last weekend and it looked like it was just getting started.
 
Hunted East of Waukon last Thurs-Sunday. Lots and lots of small bucks. Rattled some in, saw some fighting. No chasing and no mature bucks around me though.
 
Spoke with my uncle in Waukon this afternoon. He saw a stud buck out in a field with a doe at around 11:00 am. Wish I was in the tree as this front moves through.
 
Time to go. I hadn't seen anything (not kidding) until yesterday. 1st buck I saw at 4:30 was at or close to Boone, next two were decent bucks. I grunted the 1st in but not close enough. The other two I rattled in. I'd be out right now except for the strong wind and rain. Allamakee county
