What is this weed? Seems to laugh at glyphosate in my corn. Thanks!

Looks like equisetum aka "horsetail". Likes wet. I've got some but not enough to be a problem. Corn should outgrow it??? Sedgehammer is recommended herbicide if you need.

looks nothing like my marestail but I have no idea what it is. I've seen it in my fields prior as well but not too much of it. Marestail has much wider leaves.

Horsedoc, Sorry my mind misread horsetail and thought marestail. Not the same thing. The pics I looked up of horsetail look like what LarryM has in his pic.

Ya. Horsetail. No- it never gets tall so it's not like it'll get higher than crops but it is aggressive on wet ground like HD said. N it's a biz-nitch to kill. Hate it. I literally let sprayer sit on a patch with Liberty & round up & ams and finally killed it. Above sounds like ticket if that works cause regular herbicides take nuclear rate to kill it.

Thanks guys. It is in a wet area and has spread quite a bit from last year. Will give another shot of glyphosate and mix in some 2.4-D. Probably all I can do this year.
