[/ QUOTE ] it's a cross between wheat and rye so it's a leafier version of rye. Spring triticale is a cross between spring wheat and rye while the fall version is just typical winter wheat/rye cross. Both wheat and rye germinate pretty easily when broadcast on bare ground with adequate moisture...so I expect triticale would be the same. Winter Triticale
