You 100% positive? My uncle doesn't think it's a badger. Just thinks it's a wild dog of some kind. I have no idea

definately a dog! To high of a profile for a badger, even on his tip toes a badger would not be that big. Austrailian shepherd mix dog looks like to me.

Badger. He's walking & therefore carries a higher profile than most pix where they are crouched in defense position.

Looks like a badger without a doubt based on coloring and ears. To me it doesnt look all that big. I bet a big coon wouldnt look much different in that position. Badgers can get huge. My uncle shot a real big one year. I dont even see a tail in that picture. Mayne im blind. I see a shadow that looks kind of like one.

Too bad it's head is turned. I agree with the badger. Don't know a whole lot about them, but it certainly looks an awful lot like this guy. Similar body structure, longer gray hair with dark legs.

What tail? There is no tail visible. Only a tuft of grass behind what is very definitely a badger. I have trapped several of them over the years. It really is not that tall either. Look at the grass for reference. The front legs are only about 4 inches.
