Saw my first one today. City limits of Ames. Little booger was up walking around, so probably been on the ground for a few days.

Kind of cool, knowing it takes roughly 200 days for gestation to occur, so say 7 months. That particular doe was bred Mid/Early November. Couple years ago, I saw a fawn during first season turkey; April 12.

Any fawn born before today would have been conceived before Oct 31st
