Whitetail extravaganza in Dubuque??

Anybody else make it there on Friday besides dbltree and myself?

Friday was a huge display and auction of shed antlers. The highest set I seen go for was $6000. With quite a few antlers selling for $1000 to $3000.

Lots of big antlers to see and hold.

Amazing amount of bone there for sure! I had no idea nor did I have any clue what some of that bone is worth.

I know one thing...those auctioneers are gonna be wore clean out by the end of the weekend!!

This was the first time for me and I was impressed by the size and amount of bone. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but I took my wife along. When she saw what the sheds were going for, she asked me why I don't shed hunt more. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

It would have been nice to meet some fellow IW'ers, but I didn't have any IW gear on.
