After reading thru the "land prices" post, it's really got me thinking! If a person were to pick-up lets say 30 acres of bottom land that hasnt been farmed in a couple of years and is currently almost all tall grass and brush. I see that as opportunity to really create some great whitetail habitat! A food plot or two, a couple of thickets some hard woods along with some faster growing soft woods and maybe a pond. I think it would be hard work and great accomplishment to do this!
My question is this, I do beleive the state would help out in turning this into wildlife habitat? Does anyone know how to locate this information and has anyone reading this ever taken a small area and actually done this. I'd really like know if I'd be wasting my time, I'm guessing not!
