I just put out some mineral today. I don't know if it will help much. I don't know if it will help them grow as much or not. Let me know what you think.

IMO putting out mineral is more fun then useful. I'm sure it provides a healthy benefit for deer but I believe that deer get pretty much all the minerals they need from the fantastic array of forage they have to choose from. They eat the mineral because of the salt. Iowa was producing recordbook bucks long before anyone started putting out mineral for them.

Does mineral really make a significant difference in antler development...I can't say, but the best time to put it out is asap

Shouldn't that be "mineral lick cam"??

I'm not being critical, as that is the next location for my cam.

A few days over a lick then back to the bean fields.
