Your First Deer

Here are some pics of my first deer. This is a bow kill and I was 10 yrs old at the time back in 1978. I remember every minute of this hunt like it was yesterday. The buck weighed 216 lbs. dressed and back then was a very big deer, It took 3rd place at Erv's in the big buck contest with a whopping 109-7/8" score. I still have a big game award that I got from the Forked River Archers who used to have their shoots down at Yellow Banks park, OOOOHhhh The memories. Anyway after this I was hooked for sure.

Great picture H&H, it's always fun looking back. Does seem like yesterday. Here's an old photo of my dad & uncle, It was my dad's first & I think my uncles also.
