I was lucky enough to draw an Iowa bow tag this year and headed back to the Iowa public land for a 10 day hunt November 5-15. The first few days were slow for big boys but saw a lot of young bucks on the prowl. Things picked up on the 7th and some better deer showed up too as I passed 2 bucks...

Here are a few decent bucks I will be chasing on public land come November.....and a little kitty cat.

After a bunch of trail cam pics in July, August, and September Numero Uno disappeared by mid September. I hunted the early muzzle seaosn this year and saw very few bucks let alone any mature deer. Fast forward to my November 5-16 vacation time to bow hunt like a mad man. The first few days...

The big 10 has dissappeared. No pics of him since these on August 12th. Had a new one show up 1 time on th 31st. A wide devil with some junk.

He showed up again. This time after doing a little polishing.

This buck with 3 main beams is kind of unique. He hangs out with this tight heavy 10 point a lot. The other buck is a dandy but has only showed up 1 time all summer.

This is one of the nicest cleanest 10's I have seen in a while.

I think I'll call him Numero Uno....for obvious reasons. I count 18 or 19 points on him. Think he'll gross 190?

Well after moving to Iowa 4 years ago I finally killed an Iowa gobbler and my first ever with a bow. Had 4 monster toms fly down into the field shortly after daylight yesterday morning. They had no hens with them this time so they answered my calls and worked their way down to my set up...

What's everybody's guess for age on the main frame 10 in the last 2 pictures? He looks skinny in the body to me so I'm guessing 3 year old but he has crazy tine length for a 3 year old. I'd like to get a close look at him :way:.
