    Two 180-Class Wisconsin Giants 2008

That bottom buck with the extra main beam, the incredible spread and the drop tine was shot by my brother!! You guys must have chased it across the river!! He had a hell of a year as he also shot a nice buck with the bow and we were lucky enough to draw Iowa tags this year for 1st shotgun...

    Calling all bowfishers!!!

Not a regular on any of them. I used to be on BowfishUSA quite a bit when that was still around. I tend to lurk at a bunch of sites but rarely post anything. The generator noise is a little annoying at times. I keep mine in the back of the boat so it is 15' away. The exhaust points out the side...

    Calling all bowfishers!!!

The boat is a Crestliner 1860 center console. It has a 90HP Mercury on the back. The troller is a MinnKota Riptide 74# 24 volt with a 60" shaft. The most fish I have had in it is about 150 and we were still able to get it planed off and run at 30+ MPH. I will say that it didn't come out of the...

    Calling all bowfishers!!!

The rail comes up just above my knee and I'm 5'-7". I think it is 24" high. I started with a Honda 3000 and sold that to buy a 4000 watt/6600 watt surge Generac. I could probably add a few more lights without having any problems. I think the 24 volt convertor takes about 900 watts max.

    Long bow.

My main bow is a Super Shrew hybrid longbow, 56" long and 61#@27". I also have a Bear Super Mag 48" (good for in the turkey blind), a Bear Hunter Takedown that I use for bowfishing and a Great Northern Ghost recurve.

    Calling all bowfishers!!!

The lights are 500 watt halogen fixtures but I use 350 watt bulbs to save some of the generator power. The 6 lights light the water up fairly nice. The rail for me is really nice. I lean into it with my legs and hang over the edge to shoot. Keeps a guy pretty steady and the odds of falling off...

    Christmas camera?

My dad is wanting a digital trail cam for x-mas. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a camera that won't break the bank. A quick trigger speed and fairly easy set up would be my 2 biggest wants. Thanks for the help.

    Score?

The guy who shot him e-mailed me the picture. I didn't want to post his face on here without permission.

    Score?

Here's the last few pictures I have of this buck. He was harvested by the neighbor November 12th. I talked to him and he gave me a copy of the measurements that his taxidermist took. Final net score was 160 5/8" I believe. He definitely looks bigger in the field photo. Only had 3" of deductions...

Is this deer from WI or IA?

    Score?

Another question on him if any of you have the time...what is the breakdown you give him for width, mass, beam length and tine length to arrive at that score? Also, any stab on the age? I usually don't get pictures of deer like this so it's hard for me to judge. Thanks a lot. Hopefully I'll post...

Regardless of the score, if he comes by me I will be trying to shoot him, but what do you think he will score?

Bart Schleyer/Paul Schafer Bow on ebay

For all of you traditional archery buffs there is an auction on ebay for the bow Paul Schafer had built for Bart Scheyler. It's a 91# @ 28" longbow from Marriah bows. Marriah also donated a new longbow to the highest bidder in case Bart's bow is too heavy or they just want to keep it as a piece...
