Winter Rye will grow on concrete with moisture.... oats need to be covered. You can broadcast brassicas into killed thatch with good results. I mix rye and brassicas

Those look good.... what I would do is broadcast winter rye 100lbs/acre into them around Sept 1st when the beans start to yellow. This winter you will have green n grain... then next summer just nuke the rye and use it for soil tilth

I check em bi-weekly through summer... have shot a 140" plus deer for 5-6yrs in a row. It is all about location... I keep mine on easy to access food - beans if you have them. Appletrees are also great locations for inventory
