bowhunting turkeys

All great advice. I'm not one to leave my blind out, turkeys are stupid. Just scout and find where they'll be at mid morning amd wait. Big expandable broad head. Done.
 
No offense but if you've never shot a turkey before I'd start with a gun, then shoot one with a bow after that. It's ultimately your call but it's not always easy. Best advice I have is setup near where they roost/fly down, call a bit, wait 20-30 minutes then call again and repeat. The last couple years the toms seemed to respond best to calling around mid morning for me. The birds in my area aren't very responsive to decoys either and on public by me they run the other way at the sight of deeks. Like stated by the other guys using a fan and being mobile is a rush!
