Lone wolf alpha hook or batwing which is easier?

I've only got 4 hrs in this stand, looks like mine might be the old washer type? You can see where it wore through already.

Just talked to the Lone Wolf guys. New seat leveler on the way.

Anybody else that is using the hang-ons might want to take a look at the seat leveler. If it has the black washer as the stopper (not the new black stopper with the channel), I'd give them a call and they should send you the new kit.

They are sending me the new style levelor for the seat.

No really, I have too many good memories with that bow... she is resting on top of my mantle between my two best Iowa recurve bucks...

I'm confused. I use the hook and it seems to work great, but I left the batwing on. Limb is this what you do or do you remove the batwing when you use the hook?

I was told that if you use the batwing, don't use the the hook. When using the batwing, the strap is to be used on the upper versa-button. I think it has to do with the top of the stand being snug to the tree. If you use the batwing with the hook, I don't know if there is a way to get it very snug against the tree (dunno, never tried it). fwiw- Unless I have a tree that is crooked as hell and I need that batwing for its offset capabilities, I usually just use the hook system (w/o the batwing on)- that way I don't have to keep taking it on and off.

I remove the batwing when I use the hook. I meant if I am going to hang it to leave it up all season I will throw the batwing on so I have another hook at my disposal if I need it.
