Excellent deer and great story, neither of you will ever forget that experience! Full body mount coming or way didn't you field dress the deer? How do you get the tag moved from the leg to the antler w/o destroying it? My son and I were busted by a doe and 2 fawns Sat evening, he was just facinated with her snorting , stomping and carrying on. We'll hold out through this weekend for a horn before filling with a doe (hopefully). The little ones would like nothing more than their own antlers to show-off! Contrats to you and your daughter.
