Somebody with more energy than me needs to look at all the harvest photos here and count how many of the hunters are wearing some sort of scent reduction clothing, how many aren't and how many you can't tell.
I stopped wearing my scent blocker under suit this year for three reasons. #1 it was too hot this fall, #2 the neck zipper broke, #3 I started listening to the rhetoric against it.
My results so far, 2006, five does with, 2007 five does without. No bucks either year (so far). You have to be careful interpreting results. The end result, dead deer, so far has been the same, however, by this time last year I had passed on several basket racks, this year I have seen one. Again, this could be due to factors other than scent but I had about six baskets on my trailcam and I've seen one from my stand. My doe sightings are also down this year from last. I should clarify this, my doe sightings in my core hunting area, are down this year. Scent control? Don't know. Could I have shot more does outside my core area with scent blocker clothes? Don't know, but I was in doe heaven and only came away with three at one place and two at another. Next fall if I have any discretionary capital I may (probably will) purchase another set of scent suppersion base layers and see what my results are.
