Warm boots?

Went out this morning. Think it was about 3 degrees. Had one pair of merino wool socks and my Muck Woody Max boots. At worst, my toes were chilly, but way better than any other boot I've owned. I dont think the socks were the warmest version they make though.

I have 800 gram lacrosse burlys i think they are called. They are a half size big which allows me a wicking sock and heavy merino wool sock with room to spare. All I need but would love a good heavy pack boot. My rubber burlys are not fun to walk in.

I started using boot blankets this year. Have sat all day in single digit temps with my 400 gram danners on with the blankets over them and had toasty toes all day! I have a pretty good and sweaty walk to my stand too so I usually change socks when I get to my stand so there isn't any dampness in them. That helps a lot too.
