    Northeast/ Southeast Iowa

I have been kicking around the idea of selling our house here in Pella and moving out east where there is more timber. Does anyone recommend an area to move to that has good schools, low crime, and good Deer/Turkey hunting.Waterfowl is a bonus, but I could get by without it. Pella has a bad rap...

Sorry Ghost my mistake. At a glance it looked the same as mantis. Seems like a neat concept but I have never heard much about them good or bad.

    GHOST GOT ME THINKING (MANTIS)

I had decided on a Cobra Sidewinder LX and today I read a post from Ghost that he is going to a Trophy Ridge V-drive Mantis pendulum sight. I have never even looked twice at this sight until today but I love the concept. accurate out to 40 yds. from stand or adjustable from ground. If anyone has...

    Drop-away rests

WOW Thanks all Looks unanimous I was torn between T.T. and Quality archery design (Ultra-rest) any opinions on that one. I guess the only plus it looks to me is that it traps your arrow and it can't fall out. At a pro-shop I tried the T.T. with the snap in arrow holder. When the bow was drawn...

    Drop-away rests

I have been using a whisker biscuit for sometime. I tried a bow at scheels the other day with a drop-away rest and shot an incredibly tight group for being a new bow that I was not used to. What kind of fall-away do you all like (recommend).

    Trykon, Tribute, & Switchback XT

I am in the same boat I like all 3 you cant go wrong with any.The Hoyt to me just feels bulky and heavy compared to the others I.M.O. The Laminated limbs are a plus on Hoyt. Personally I am down to Switchback XT & Tribute they are almost neck and neck size, feel, performance. Between the two...

    Bowtech Tribute vs. Switchback XT

Any thoughts guys I have shot both and all I can say is WOW. Tough call almost neck and neck performance, feel, speed, cost. Any opinions or suggestions. I guess the biggest thing for me is that I have a Bowtech proshop .5 miles away and Mathews is 45 minutes but that XT is SWEET as well ????

Is it even worth trying for a late season BUCK?

I have a Late season Muzzy tag my schedule just cleared where I could get out. I am concerned about shed bucks, half shed, losing antlers after being shot etc. Is it even worth trying for a nice buck or should stay after the Geese?

    open sights or scope

Depends on your terrain, stand or drive/stalking. I have 2 barrels one open sights for close in deer drives/stalking fast action and a long range scoped barrel. I personally prefer a scope because I use the long range slugs and I can zoom in and check the rack or confirm a doe as I ready for...
