I live near Pittsburgh and I've had a Costco employee tell me they get a "few" in every couple of days but are gone really quick. If you have a Costco nearby maybe give it a try. Good Luck!
As a NR, I think you Iowans would be absolutly crazy to let NRs have easy access to licenses (buck). I've had the priviledge of hunting there twice and came home empty each time but had the best hunting ever. Waiting a few years for those tags is well worth it to me, if it was easy to get tags...

I'm going to say 130 for him. Great pics! Is that a scent bomb of some sort I see hanging in that pic? [/Just a rag with some scent on it. I wasn't getting too much action until I put it out]

That's a nice Pa buck, I'd say he would go close to 135". What parts are you from? The buck in my avatar is from south central Pa. Good luck with him.
I'm from Wexford- about 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh.
Thats a real nice one you got, I guess maybe AR are working here.

I almost pooped my pants when I pulled the card the other afternoon. We usually don't grow 'em like this in PA!
I'm trying to post a pic that I would like you guys to guess the score. How do I get to show up on the trail cam forum? I can only get on the trail cam pics section?
I'm pretty new to using trail cameras. I'm here in PA and I just got my first buck picture. It's a really good 8 point (by PA standards NOT Iowa standards!!)
I'm pretty anxious to see if he keeps coming back or just passing by.
How often do you guys kill a buck that you caught on camera?

Well...did a little more experimenting yesterday and it isn't good.
First I got the square out to double check the nocking point. As I thought, it was right on. I should note that I'm shooting a 31 inch arrow at about 68 lbs. The carbons with 100 grain field points are darts...
Cabelas sells a seat cover for $6 and it fits the seat really well. I have a couple of them and also use the plastic bags, too.
Your other option is to sit in your stand 24/7!!!
I shot 2 deer with the Rocky Mountain Syper which is VERY close to the Rage. I also didn't get either to pass thru but they dropped within 60 yards. Both shots were thru the rib cage and stopped after hitting the hide. I thought that was kinda odd. I use aluminum arrows.
You are right about...

Does anyone use decoys during the rut? I see in videos that a lot of guys use them, I was wondering if they are an effective tool or just more gadgets to lug around. I'm guessing they work like grunting & rattling - if the buck is in the mood... What about buck decoy VS. doe decoy? Thanks!!
