Asking for it and truly needing it are two different things...Thats what is bankrupting our country. People who ask for it when they could go out and fend for themselves like the rest of us.. but are to lazy and think the government owes them something. I have no problem helping those that truly need it. Not the able bodies asking for it!

And under Obamacare medical for military is going to skyrocket and his administration is considering doing away with the percentage of retirement you get after 20 years...Not a fan...Romney/Ryan 2012!

As Christians we should help our fellow brothers & sisters. As we've always done. It's another thing to mandate Government do it. Doing it by taxation- taking from one group to hand to another- with the force of law & power. And, very critical, couple that with 70% waste, fraud, inefficiency in the process- it's mind blowing folks think this is good for Government to handle this. Do you realize that of every $1 you confiscate from one group (or borrow from China because we are broke), only $.30 cents gets to the "intended recipient"??? This is ok with you? And it's pretty much been that way from day one with Gov (the Great society, etc). CHARITIES & PERSONAL GIVING is what is meant by Christians taking care of others, from my belief. Would you give to a charity that wasted 70% of the $? No, you wouldn't. We have the most generous and charitable society in human history.

As a Christian, it very much disturbs me we have a President & party who have stood up to keep legal the killing of over 50 million babies. I see a party that stands for everything devious, disgusting & wicked in our society... Probably why, in vast #'s & %'s - atheists, Hollywood, practicing homosexuals, abortion folks, etc flock to and vote for the Democratic party. Wonder why Evangelical Christians overwhelmingly vote Republican?!?! No mystery to me. Deep political stuff here on a Whitetail site, I get it BUT we all know what this thread was, politics affects us all and our nation is hinging on what happens in 1 months while we are in the deer stand. Pray for Romney to defeat Obama & what Obama wants and will do with this nation.

Thank you, thank you very much but please hold your applause....

Here is my response to a very libral "acquaintance" on facebook, before today they were a friend but not now;).....

TO all the Obama supporters that still dont get it:
At the end of the day there is NO arguement on who has a better fiscal record and who has a better record on bipartisan cooperation to get things done. I dont care what party a politician is from if they can't work together with the other party to actually get something done than its a waste of an elected official. I agree we all have our opinion...on issues, but that does NOT change the facts! You cant argue gainst facts, and then change the topic to personal choices when the facts point the other direction. I am sorry, but if last nights debate did not prove to ALL of America who is better suited from a business, fiscal, and bipartisan standpoint to run this country than I dont know what you have to see to realize that Obama is simply a career politician with absolutely no experience on how to balance a budget or run a business/country in an ecomonic way.

Please stop coming up with exuses its getting old, wake up and smell the coffee. OH wait you cant, because coffee not a needed expense so you have removed that from your budget.

Serious question: why will medical care for the military skyrocket under Obamas plan? I haven't heard of this yet

Serious question......is this IowaWhitetail? Why do so many lurkers come out of the wood work on political or controversial posts.....and why do they get 4 times as many replies as a youth hunter who kills their first deer.

If you want to debate politics, go to a different website.

We need to bring back TeenageHunter. That kid at least shared hunting related posts.

Thread title: "DEBATE" - did you really think we were debating the antlerless tag quota due to EHD now???!?!?! ;)
1) Sportsman, hunters and all outdoor related are hugely impacted by election & debate. Country goes down, we're going to feel it in every walk of life, including our ability to enjoy hunting - heck, might become a survival necessity.
2) It's 1 month from the biggest election in this country's history.
3) Politics is more important than football which is talked about on here non-stop and really has no relation to hunting & outdoors, which politics does.
4) This election falls on a day when most of us will not be able to vote but need to vote. Absentee Ballot.
5) Because Romney destroyed the Clown last night & folks like me deserve a day of celebration after 4 years of crap, doing all we can to not suffer thru 4 more.

Let's get on to big bucks though, totally agree, after we clean up the disaster in office on voting day, giant mature bucks will be the dominating thought & discussion for all! :way:

Now come on.... You actually clicked on a thread called "Debate" and wanted to "Debate" me or others. I think I've read my share of debates & continued back & fourth from u as well, right?

Haha. Damn. You got me there. :D

But seriously......I guess what rubs me wrong about posts like these are the lurkers that come out of nowhere. A kid can kill his or her first deer, but not get a response...but as soon as someone posts about politics, or baiting, or NR hunting, people who have been on the site for months or years have their first reply.

Not sure if what I'm saying even makes sense to some of you....but, yeah, guess it proves how many people look but don't ever share.

We need to bring back TeenageHunter.
Absolutely...if he's 18 by election day, we can get him to vote for the good guys. If not, mid terms are right around the corner.

Really though, this election is larger than any big buck and more important than any deer a kid has killed. There is room for this discussion on any website, including IW. Expressing your dislike for a civil discussion on one of the most important elections in our lifetime is like sitting down with your hat on while they play the national anthem just because you would rather be watching the game.

So I think your saying that those of us that dont have over 1,000 posts like you are lurkers. We should post great job or atta boy/girl on every post thats on this site so our thread count is worthy of being able to post on a topic that is truly important to us and our country?? Oh and by the way you have like three posts on a topic that you dont even agree with being on the site.....Goes back to the same old saying if you dont like it dont look at it.

Now I do understand what you are saying to some point. I am more than willing to chime in on other discussions asking questions about tactics, products, experiences. However, I wont ever post on the 100's of threads that ask How old? Score? I guess I feel if you have to ask other people if you should shoot a buck, and base your decision off of that opinion than your not hunting for the right reasons. That and it amazes me that the age range every single time will be at least two years, and 20 inches. I am not going to just come out and tell someone an age and score off of two pictures from one single appearance in front of a camera.

Lastly, I do enjoy your posts and many others posts on here with updates, pictures, blogs, videos and more. Some of us are more conservative by nature and are not going to comment on every thread that they looked at. Sorry if that upsets you, but don't let that stop you from putting things up, because it is still enjoyable.

No, that's not what I'm saying. You don't have to have 1000s....(insert foot in my mouth here) :) And as far as posting on a topic like this on the internet....well....I learned a long time ago that you're not going to change anyones mind about something political or other highly controversial topics on the internet. I used to get in debates with people all of the time on here about NR hunting regulations, baiting, etc. Now, I do my best to stay out of them.

Doesn't upset me one bit. And surprsingly enough this thread appears as if it's been fairly civil.......hopefully it stays that way and doesn't turn into what many other like it have in the past.

Ok, I'll get off this post and quit hijacking now :way:
