Thanks for the info. Tried again tonight but no Deer to be seen.

Last night I had my first encounter with a mature buck. He came in at last light and was unable to see pins to shoot. He blew my decoy up witch is also a first for me. My question is since he hit decoy and ran is it worth putting decoy back out in same area or will he be scared of it now?

I like to put them in soup and bread and fry when cooking fish. They also freeze well so i would clean and portion out and vacuum seal.

Anyone know of any whitetail unlimited banquets close to the muscatine area ?

Anyone know the rules on elevated blinds I read where blinds on ground need 144" of orange visible from all sides but does that apply for blinds off the ground ? Mine is little over 8' up.

Noticed scrapes are fresh in area and new rubs. What time do you think they are hitting them? Is this the bucks marking territory for the remainder of the does? I was in timber moving stand around 11:00 when noticed.

I noticed many doe in fields. Groups of 3-5. No bucks tonight I choose to stay dry today and will hit the stand in morning. Hope it is good.

Once the bucks get locked down with does how long does it take before the action heats up again?. It's a real ghost town in my neck of woods.

On evening hunts how long do you wait till you start tapping the antlers ?

Sat from 6-10 and seen one small buck. Did find a lot of fresh rubs and scrapes.

Planned on hunting tree line divided by standing corn on one side and three acres of clover on other side surrounded by timber in morning with a decoy but now starting to second guess myself and think I need to hunt in timber on ridge top. Anyone have any thoughts to help with decision ?
