    What do you think.... 180"??

Re: What do you think.... 180"?? I like the "aiming point" on his side also. All shooters should come with one of these to help keep us focused at the moment of truth. By the way, he's a "good'un."

    Which Safety Vest?

Thanks for more info. I looked at the Loggy harness, and may give it a try. Any negatives on the buckles, fit, or speed/ease of set up?

    Which Safety Vest?

Thanks for the input on the Pro model HSS. I was wondering if it was worth the extra $$.

    Which Safety Vest?

I'm tired of fiddling with straps and thread-through buckles in the dark at the base of my tree for 5 minutes. Which vest do y'all prefer for bowhunting?

    Salt/Minerals? for camera site

What have some of you camera guys found to be the best choice for an attractive yet economical salt/mineral lick? I've heard of guys using water softener salt or ice cream salt--is that ok for the deer and does it work? Not really into buying the expensive stuff marketed for deer.

    Glue for Blazers

If you use arrow wraps, I have found that you can save your money by not buying all the fancy glues made by the vane companies--just use any of the gel super glues out there. It's alot cheaper if you're only doing a dozen arrows or so. In side by side tests with Bohning Fletch Tite Platinum, I...

Icefish'n it up with the kid.

T250, I've enjoyed all your pics. It's nice to see that you get you daughter involved in spending time outdoors. It's obvious from all your posts that you're serious about your outdoor adventures, and it's great to see that you include her. I have an 18 month old daughter and a 2 week old...

    Chronograph?

I've been looking at purchasing a ProChrono w/ light kit for indoor use. I want it for tinkering around with my bow. Anybody own one or have experience with them? I've heard the light kits are not very sturdy. Any feedback?

My 07 Bow Buck (21 pt)

Awesome deer. Congrats on putting the pieces together. It's great to see a hunter connect the dots on a mature whitetail. Hey, I'd just like to have blind luck on a hawg like that.

    Cleaning Mounts

What's the best way to clean a mount that's accumulated some dust? I've heard different things from "only use a feather duster" to "use a light spray of Windex and cloth".

    STS

I put a side mount STS on my 2002 Hoyt HavocTec and it made a noticeable difference in handshock and noise. I removed the string leaches and it still is pretty quiet. Overall, probably not needed on newer bows, but I did it to my older one to upgrade it so that I didn't have to drop $700-$800...

    Moultrie D-40

Fellas, After years of using an old 35mm Camtrakker, I decided to buy a low cost digital. After reading another post, several said the Moultrie d40 was the best "under $100" digital cam, so I got one today. For those of you who have one, what setting (resolution) have you found to produce the...

    LW Climbing Sticks

Bought a set of 3 and a 4th section this past summer. Went out this a.m. to hang a few stands for late OCT./early NOV.--wow, these things are the bomb. Rock solid, quick, easy to use, and quiet. Made hanging stands easy. I really liked that I could go down a section, and then rotate the one...

    STS

Play around with the distance b/t the rubber dampener and the string. It can be different for every bow. On my Hoyt, I started with the string barely touching, and it reduced the handshock, but seemed to make a loud "slap". I finally settled on a 1/8" gap b/t dampener and string, and now it's...

    Mechanicals

[ QUOTE ] Some things happened with Wasp that I won't go into, but I'll put it this way, I'll shoot a field point before screwing another one on the end of my arrow. [/ QUOTE ] If you're going to make as bold and brash a statement as that, you might want to back it up by shedding some...

    Therma Cell

I've used one while bowhunting in Georgia. Works great for the buzzy pests, and many times I had deer walk down wind of me and never seemed to get alarmed. The Thermacell does give off a "chemically" smell, but it never seemed to hurt. Lots of guys use them bowhunting and have great success.
