    Hurry HELP!! PLEASE!!

Anyone know why they don't just put the county name (or at least the first few letters) on the tag? For those that hunt multiple counties it sure would seem like an easier option.

    Urban deer hunts.

Has anyone heard anything on a bowhunter safety class in the Des Moines area? I'd like to take part in the urban hunts this year if I can still get into a safety course. Thanks.

    STRAPPING IN

Always wear mine and make my 8 year old wear his. Sometimes it's awfully tempting to not wear it, especially when hunting out of my two man ladder stand, but I'd hate to not be wearing it that one time something goes wrong.

    Baiting information

Can anyone offer insight into Iowa's baiting laws. I've looked through the Deer/Turkey regs. and the general hunting/trapping/fishing regs. books and can't find any specifics on baiting (maybe they are there, but I sure can't find them). The owner of the land I hunt placed a salt block out...

    How do you guys bone...

That's a good question Limb, I'd like to take it a step farther and ask how particular everyone gets with cleaning it. I was always told to remove the silver skin, but never really had anyone show me what that was, needless to say it takes me a full day or better to process one deer.

    turkeys are retarded.

Boy Muddy, you've got me feeling pretty bad now. Two turkey tags $46.00, an Ameristep blind $80.00, Package of expanding broadheads $25.00, multiple days of getting up at 4:00 am, driving an hour to my spot, and dealing with those nasty little blood sucking creepy crawlies all for a bird I...

    Blind advice

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up going with an Ameristep doghouse with the shadow guard lining. We'll see how it goes this spring and maybe move up to the double bull in a year or two. Do they make a family sized one??

    Blind advice

Anyone have experience with the Hunter's View wigwam blinds? I just can't swing a DoubleBull this year with another little one on the way and the Hunter's View looks like a decent blind for the price. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

    Anyone know the story??

After looking over all the bucks at the Classic this weekend it would appear that there has to be some awfully good stories to go along with the deer. One particular deer that I'd like to know the story on is the one with the arrow buried into it's drop tine. Anyone know the story there?

    Brutus Tree stands

I looked at the Brutus buddy stand at the classic and was very impressed. I would have bought one in a minute, but I had purchased a Hunter's View buddy stand this fall. I would say the Brutus was a far superior stand to the Hunter's View for $30 less.
